Jerry Jones is the owner of a business who makes decisions based on the bottom line. I personally think the guy is an egotistical ass who gets in the way of his own success, but it's his team and his business. Osborne is a former college head coach and current AD, big difference. As far as Phillips - or anyother player who found hiself in trouble - goes, I would bet that Osborne while coaching never played a single player who wasn't eligible, by NCAA standards, to compete in college athletics.
