When the clock hit 00:00, Nebraska stood on the sideline with 12-10 victory, only to have it snatched away due to a video replay judge deciding the clock should have 1 second left on it. That was all it took for Texas to boot the 46 yard field goal, tucking it just inside the left upright for the win.

Henery & The Huskers “Kick It” In Cowboys Stadium
Tim Griffin of ESPN’s Big12 blog notes that the Huskers practiced at Cowboys Stadium yesterday.
Bo Pelini typically doesn’t like for his team to have practices at new stadiums on the day before a game.
The Nebraska coach made an exception Friday before his team’s game Saturday for the Big 12 championship against Texas.
The wow factor of the $1.2 billion stadium was one big reason for Pelini to make an exception before his team’s first championship game under him.
“We’re going to bring our football team over here today because this is a little different environment,” Pelini said. “We just wanted to make sure they saw it before we got over here Saturday.”
In another post on his blog, Griffin says, Nebraska’s special teams key to Big 12 title game.
“Henery’s ability to place the ball inside the 10-yard line this season has earned him near rock-star status among Nebraska’s fans” writes Griffin.
Shawn Starostka of Omaha responds to that claim with this proof of concept: “I’m expecting a son in March, and I convinced his mother to name him Alex Henery Starostka. No joke. God willing, one day he will make a career out of kicking footballs, too.”
Can’t Wait To Hear Mack Brown’s Post-Game Comments About Suh
The New York Times has two Big12 coaches from the Longhorn State saying great things about Number 93.
“He’s one of the few guys who can really dominate the defensive side of the ball from that position,” Baylor head coach Art Briles said of Suh.
Suh’s presence, Briles said, allows Nebraska to put pressure on the quarterback without having to blitz. “He makes their whole defense better just by what he’s able to do,” Briles said.
Texas Tech Coach Mike Leach, whose team held Suh to four tackles in a 31-10 victory on Oct. 17, said he was more impressed by Suh’s ability to stop the run than his pass rushing.
“He’s grizzly-bear strong,” Leach said in a telephone interview. “If you run right into him, he’s not going anywhere. If he gets his hands on something, he’ll throw it into a pile.”
The Psychology of Big Game Preparation
Texas, in its first Big 12 title game since 2005, is at least a two-touchdown favorite in Saturday’s game with Nebraska.
Nevertheless, “I don’t really see us as an underdog,” All World defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh said.
Asked about his team being an underdog, Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini said, “I don’t even know what that means. That’s for the bookies in Vegas.”
