Can’t Wait To Hear Mack Brown’s Post-Game Comments About Suh

The New York Times has two Big12 coaches from the Longhorn State saying great things about Number 93.

“He’s one of the few guys who can really dominate the defensive side of the ball from that position,” Baylor head coach Art Briles said of Suh.

Suh’s presence, Briles said, allows Nebraska to put pressure on the quarterback without having to blitz. “He makes their whole defense better just by what he’s able to do,” Briles said.

Texas Tech Coach Mike Leach, whose team held Suh to four tackles in a 31-10 victory on Oct. 17, said he was more impressed by Suh’s ability to stop the run than his pass rushing.

“He’s grizzly-bear strong,” Leach said in a telephone interview. “If you run right into him, he’s not going anywhere. If he gets his hands on something, he’ll throw it into a pile.”

“They just whipped us,” Texas coach Mack Brown said of Nebraska’s defense.

He’s correct, we dropped Colt McCoy for nine sacks.
