Get your season predictions in. I’m going on record with an official pick of 9-3. My 3 losses are to Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas Tech.
I see the Missouri game as being highly focused effort by the Huskers and an improved Texas Tech could surprise Nebraska in a bounce back week.
I do see a couple of other games looking very tight, Kansas and Colorado. Colorado could surprise a lot of people this year and run the Big 12 North if they play with discipline defensively and can get their offense in gear. It will be interesting to see how Kansas reacts to a tougher schedule this season.
Much of this is also dependent upon how they react after this weekend. I’m hoping we are getting the downplay on talent/play from Pelini much like Osborne was before seasons got started.
I open it up to you guys now. Get your Season Predictions going in the Comments and I’ll open up a Western Michigan Score thread tomorrow.

9-4, losses I only have two that I think will be sure losses Texas Tech and OU. I won’t MU until they beat us at home. The other two will depend on breaks and bounces. I don’t believe this year the breaks or bounces will go our way. If they do I will be the happiest wrong guy in Nebraska.
One more mention of Coach Callahan, in his first recruiting year Irving Fryar handed him a dvd highlight tape of his son ( a senior all confrence DB for WMU) and bc did not even call Irving back.
(as reported on Big sports 590 by Matt Perault) Irving will be on the WMU sideline this weekend cheering for WMU. One more example of bc not giving a crap about Husker family tradition.

We’re going into the VA Tech game 3-0. As I see it unfolding, the VA Tech, Mizzou, Texas Tech games will make or break our season. If things go really well, we’ll be 6-0 and highly ranked heading into some easier games. Then we face Oklahoma and Kansas. Both are pretty big question marks in my mind. So, I can see us going 10-2, with a loss to two of the five teams mentioned above. I can also see 9-3, with three losses to the teams mentioned above. I’m not going to bother worrying about the Buffs or thinking we might lose five or six games in the regular season, even though recent history has shown us what can go wrong. Bottom line, I’m predicting a 10-2 regular season record. Go Big Red!
