Brown’s Non-Frown Makes Me Smile

“We don’t run out of bounds at Nebraska,” NU tight ends coach, Ron Brown, shouted at a player recently.
Those words are music to my ears.
During the Loserhan period, I kept thinking I didn’t care all that much about the losses. What I did care about was our lack of fire. Football is fire. Especially in Nebraska, where win, lose or draw, we’re going to hit somebody and hard.

14 days and every time i hear audio of Grant Wistrom’s old pregame speech on the big show on big sports 590. which is everyday before the husker report i get a tingling sensation running through my whole nervous system “day by day, we get better and better, the team that can’t be beat, the team that won’t be beat.” That is our huskers day by day they are getting better. we may take a few hits this year but we will not lay down. I feel close to the program again, there was a wall that previous years left me feeling like i was an outsider or a guest in a new house. In the end I trust what is going on in Lincoln, because i have a room in this old house

@RTD…..Nice to hear from you again buddy!!!
Bringing back Ron Brown….along with Marvin Sanders is one of the best things that Pelini did. RB is NEBRASKA FOOTBALL!!! On some websites that I won’t name…fans are questioning RB’s and MS’s ability to recruit. I think this is bogus because everyone of these guys’ players will drive through a brick wall for them. I think with this staff we have the chance to see some continuity like we have been accustomed to and that will only help in recruiting. Man I can’t wait 2 more weeks!!!!!

Here’s what Trev Alberts had to say about Nebraska when asked to give his assessment:
“Here’s the bottom line for Husker fans: You’re going to have a team that competes, that’ll never give up, that’ll have some toughness, and I’m telling you I’ve been around this staff; It feels an awful lot like the early nineties… and you know what happened then.”
Hope you’re right Trev.

@HuskerBrad back at ya!! miss the daily husker pow wow’s.
RB and MS can recruit and get their message across on the field and in the living rooms of potential recruits.
First RB, when he sits in the living room of potential recruits and speaks with parents of said recruit, If they are devout christians they will feel and immediate connection with RB. If they have no faith they will feel comfortable with this man as a mentor in their sons next four years of life. Not to mention he knows a little football. Most dislike RB because he is not shy to talk about his faith.
I have not heard of a former player portrayng RB as a negative part of their NU experience.
MS has many outspoken supporters who are current NFL and former college ballers. He knows ho to teach football and he has. ability to give his guys all the tools they need to be succesful players on the next level.
They are recruiting for Nebraska. NU has a fan base that is rabid. the Huskers have a tradition rich program. Top Notch athletic facilities, a great graduation rate due to a top notch academic department. we could keep going and pundits would say so does so and so, but there are only a few schools at this level in the total package that is sold to recruits. Now factor in the message of these two coaches and they will do fine. All those other fans who doubt these coaches ability to recruit should go on vigiliante type recruiting runs so they can feel better when they get those recruits these guys are not getting. just a quick question before you hit the road. WHAT IS YOUR PITCH
