The Heisman Trophy is about to be announced in New York City. I’d like to see it go to Mizzou’s QB, Chase Daniel. He represents our conference and our division, but it’s more than that. The guy’s a winner.
Now, what I really want/need to say…

A year from now, I’d love to see Joe Ganz on this national stage. If he plays next fall like he did against Kansas State and we win the Big 12, he will be on this stage.
[UPDATE] The Heisman went to Florida’s sophomore QB, Tim Tebow.

I agree. Chase Daniel meant more to Mizzou going 11-2 then Tebow meant going 9-3. You put Chase on Florida’s team and they win the National Championship.

This team was 5-7 and now you have Ganz winning the Heisman and Nebraska winning the Big XII. Can we have a little reality please.

Mizzou has underachieved under Pinkel and they could’ve played in the National Championship game if they had taken care of business. Where did South Florida come from, or Kentucky for that matter. It’s not about where you’ve been, but where you are at and more importantly, where you are going.

No thanks. I have enough so-called “reality” in my real life. In my existence as a Husker fan I see us winning, and I see glory ahead for Mr. Ganz. Such is the nature of fandom.

I think he can win it. Some people just don’t like to dream though. Old Bastards.

Forget the trophy for a moment (and all the factors that go into winning it). Do you believe that Ganz will be one of the best players in college football next fall?

I think the best player in college football next year will be a young man who was not even a starter at the beginning of the year. He throw 34 td’s with just 7 int’s while leading the Sooners to a Big 12 championship Sam Bradford. He will win the Heisman one of these years.

Heisman may be a bit of a stretch, but hell, you never know. You gotta believe, right? I can easily see Bo winding up with nine or even ten wins his first year though.
