I’ve been waiting for this—the other side of the argument made by Samuel McKewon of Nebraska State Paper in defense of Bill Callahan.
Now we have it. Published yesterday, McKeown runs through BC’s list of failures.
- Mediocrity
- Win now, but my way
- Kevin Cosgrove
- A situational, unpredictable offense that can’t come back when trailing at halftime
- Special teams
- Developmental/playing time mysteries
- Intangible inconsistency
- A personality fans don’t like/can’t trust
- Lack of identity
- It was just a job, not a calling

NO RUNNING GAME, WHICH IS EASY TO DO WHEN YOU ONLY HAVE 4 RUN PLAYS IN A 40LB PLAY BOOK.
WIN NOW? HOW ABOUT WIN MAYBE BUT MOST LIKELY NOT. I’LL JUST TRY TO KEEP IT CLOSE.
THE DON’T LOSE MENTALITY.
THE CELLAR OF THE BIG 12 NORTH
NO FOOTBALL FOR THE NEW YEAR
NO BRIDGE WITH PAST
CANADA LOVES THE PASS THEY EVEN GIVE YOU AN EXTRA RECEIVER AND A RUNNING HEAD START. YOU CAN ALSO GET AWAY WITH RUNNING THE BALL 15 TIMES A GAME. GOOD HUNTING AAY.

That was awesome! Did anybody see the KETV interview with Ganz? If that wasn’t a guy that wanted to punch Billy right in the mouth then I don’t what was. When they ask him about when BC pulled Beck’s red shirt instead of putting him in, Ganz just look up at the ceiling and said “well ya know, that’s why they get paid for what they do. They get paid to make those call’s” They switched to Nate Swift and he said “Oh yea, he was pretty pissed!
Check it out on KETV’s web site. That was classic!
