According to Omaha World Herald, Mack Brown will play his second string defense in the first quarter of the game this Saturday. Not becasue Nebraska’s having trouble moving the ball. No, that would be too easy an answer. He’s doing it to develop his players and to keep everyone motivated. Imagine that…

I’d be willing to wager, in a friendly way, that the 2nd team offense scores on our 1st team defense.

Unbelievable, a team actually starting there 2nd team defense on Nebraska because they have so much confidence they will win.

Texas isn’t starting them and it isn’t about us, it’s about them. They simply want to play more people. They’ll rotate them in after the first few series of downs.

That is smarter than how we rotate. We take somebody out as soon as they make a catch or a good run. We don’t want them on a hot streak now do we? Good thinking Callahan!
