The Huskers played better yesterday, but we were far from dominant. Iowa State took a 10-0 lead and they were still in the game in the second half, until Bo Ruud–who finished the game with 14 tackles, six unassisted–iced it with his interception and 93-yard return for a score.

The Blackshirts made some nice hits and got some intensity back, but we also surrendered 415 yards and 28 first downs. To Iowa State.

“It was a strange game,” Nebraska Head Coach Bill Callahan said. “Kinda weird. They had the ball quite a bit.”

Ya think?

Time of possesion was totally lopsided. Iowa State had the ball for 39:03 compared to just 20:17 for the Huskers.
