Thanks Brad. Your description of the sidelines is distrubing, to say the least. Just how bad BC's leadership skills are becomes more obvious by the day. Leaders set the tone and create an atmosphere of professionalism and discipline. This errant behavior and lack of focus sickens.

Remember when you used to go to a Nebraska game and have that AWE feeling? I had it all week......up until the time I saw Nebraska play. I have been to 50+ games and never have I left the stadium feeling like this. I saw a defense that yeah, got some turnovers, but made some serious mistakes. When playing cover 2, our safeties don't pick up the receiver. I looked down at the sidelines and there were groups of players here and there. The people who will redshirt were just sitting amongst themselves, not even paying attention to the game. Thenarse, who is exhilirating every time he is in....stood by his position coach for the majority of the game....in the 3rd quarter, when our safeties were getting beat over and over again, Thenarse gave up and went and sat on the bench with the offensive players who were not even paying attention to the game. He sat there for about 5 minutes while NU was on defense and then got up, picked up a ball and punted it into the practice net. Clearly you could see his frustration. I think everyone else who has been highly touted and has sniffed the field, but only on special teams, feels the same way. He has a nervous energy about him you like. He finally got into the game in the fourth quarter, after Ben Eisenhart. Major Culbert wasted away on the bench. I just thought it funny, small groups of guys doing their own thing and not even caring about the game. Is this because they know they have the talent to play, but are not? Play your talent, Period. This is why guys transfer. We build up Roy Helu one week and then he doesn't even sniff the field the next. You take a guy who made 2 of the best plays on defense last year as a CB and bury him at safety behind a guy who repeatedly messes up. You take Major Culber and bury him at RB. He made one of the best runs against Nevada, but never has seen the field again. He has talent and is probably wondering why he came to Lincoln. As I was walking out of the stadium, an older gentleman handed me a piece of paper. Here is what it said.

For anyone who has grown tired of the arrogance from our football program and our administration. For anyone who has grown tired of hearing how brilliant our coaching staff is.

I call this top ten list, " you might be an Idiot if...."
10) You think having and eight pound play book makes you brillian when USC beats you with one play!

9) You think 85,000 boos were meant for someone other than you!

8) You turn away 50 walk on players a year that are willing to give you their blood and guts because having that many people around would be annoying to you.

7) It takes two years for your players to understand your system, but it only takes the opposing team a week of preparation to figure it out!!

6) You inherit a top 20 defense with 9 returning starters and turn it into a top 100 defense, and your excuse is that the talent level is so bare. ( Barrett Rude, Fabian Washington, Daniel and Josh Bullocks, Scott Shanle to name a few have done pretty well in the NFL but these guys couldn't win with them. )

5) You give up 610 yards of offense to Ball State and your thoughts are " the defense really came up big for us at times" and "there are a lot of positives we can take from this win".

4) You give a mediocre coach a contract extrension because you are so impressed with a win over Nevada.

3) If you don't think Ohio U would kick our butts right now. ( I don't agree!, but it was on there ).

2) It takes you two years to figure out that when you send 5 guys in motion and the opposing defense doesn't move that you are not tricking anyone, you are just wearing out your own team.

1) You hold a fund raising event and the first guy on your guest list is not the best coach to ever coach college football that still lives in your same town!!!!!!

There it is....I think it says it all except for number 2. I have no love for Solich supporters, but I have no love for the supporters of this coaching staff either.
