From what I’ve read, it seems that Keller will be our starting QB in ’07. Speaking of winning the starting job, the Packers’ #1 RB (Morency) is banged up, and Brandon Jackson makes his debut at the Steelers tomorrow night. Could we be seeing Favre & Jackson in the Pack’s backfield for a few years (if Brett keeps plaing) similar to Favre & Green? I hope BJ grabs this opportunity and becomes a NFL star!

Amen to that Jeff P. I totally agree with you on Brandon Jackson and the Packers. But I don’t think the starting QB job is totally locked up just yet. I think Ganz is pretty focused on becoming the starter. Did anyone read the article in The Omaha World Herald the other day abou Ganz?

Jackson was the Packers featured back in their first pre-season game, rushing for almost 60 yards in 16 carries that included a couple of runs over 10 yards each. He had by far the bulk of GB’s rushing attempts in that game, and he certainly looks like he can win the #1 halfback job and be the next Ahman Green for the Pack. Less than 3 weeks to go until Nevada comes to Lincoln!

Good call on Ganz, Pete. It appears that the starting QB job is a very close competition at this point. I gather that by the end of next week, we’ll all know who wins it with BC being scheduled to name the starter by then. By the way Pete, when is your first game with the St. Margaret Mary team? All the best to everybody as we fast approach September 1!

Thank you Jeff P. I hope the best man wins the QB job. Best of luck to both of them. And my first game? I’m not too sure but I assume the week after labor Day sometime.

Ganz still my get some significant playing time before this season’s done Pete, we’ll have to wait and see. Keller is certainly higher profile because of his transfer from the PAC-10, etc. As you said, best of luck for a great ’07, it’s just a week away!
