Husker Football04 Nov 2006 :: Posted by: Bugeater
It’s homecoming in Lincoln today. Last year, Nebraska lost to Texas Tech on homecoming, breaking a 36-year string of homecoming victories.
As StatePaper.com points out:
The stomach-turning thing for Nebraska fans this year is the obvious fact that nothing, absolutely nothing, is guaranteed. There is not, and has not been, a single game in which Husker fans could reasonably feel that “everything will be fine.”
[UPDATE] Well allright, 27-6 at the half (against a team that’s been playing us tough for several consecutive years) is more like it!

A few factors of this game. 1. Missouri played probably the worst football they have all year. 2. Nebraska caught a lot of breaks in this game, namely two tipped interceptions. 3. Do teams not watch tape on the Huskers? Do they not know all they have to do is zone block run and throw slants to beat them? I really think Missouri was horribly prepared for this game, so I give little respect to Callahan, and little to the players. I believe Texas A&M will be a better gauge to see how we can actually rebound against teams that are ready to play, not just show up and pound their fists on turf like children when they don’t prepare for games.
