From the Omaha World Herald:

NU defensive coordinator Kevin Cosgrove said the Huskers were caught between wanting to double-cover Bowman and Woods and committing enough defenders to stop the run.

“You pick your poison,” Cosgrove said. “They just did a good job timing things.

“We talked about needing to dominate up front and needing to stay in a rhythm. When we got in that rhythm early, we were good. Then we got out of it, and could never get that back.”

Pick your poison? WTF. You don’t just pick your poison. This Nebraska team has the talent to stop anyone they face. The Huskers effectively shut down a multi-headed offense against Texas. Timing things? I guess if you call playing 10-12 yards off the their wide receivers at the line of scrimmage and continuously trying to strip the ball instead of tackling bad timing then I guess he might be right.

When you quit dominating up front, why didn’t you change things up? The Husker defense ran roughly the same defensive face the entire day.

Don’t even get me started on CaLLLahan’s comments…
