Take away the second quarter and the Husker’s stuck it to the Longhorns.
This is also the first Callahan-era game I can remember where Nebraska actually made some half-time adjustments that worked.
Damn turnovers – all of them. Momentum killers.
Let’s hope there is a rematch because that will be a game to watch.
I’m sick of losing to Texas. Yet, there are things to be thankful for–amazing plays and gutsy calls. The fact is we were a fumble recovery away from victory. The ball didn’t bounce our way (twice in the last minutes), but we were right there, ready to win.
Looking forward, we need to run the table and go into the BIg 12 Championship game at 10-2. A win there and a win in our bowl game and we’ll have had a Nebraska-like season by anyone’s standards.
While you are patting yourself on the back for the Texas game , keep in mind NU had a total of 38 yards rushing. Barely over 200 yards total. It was a close game only because the Longhorns kept screwing up.
