Nebraska’s new head basketball coach, Kenneth “Doc” Sadler, made some important moves off the court this week. According to News Net Nebraska, Sadler flew 8700 miles to Australia, where 6-foot-11 center, Aleks Maric, was practicing with the national team.

Days later, Sadler went to Brooklyn, NY for a visit with starting guard Jamel White and his mother.
Sadler convinced White and Maric, both starters, to return to the basketball team.
Sadler comes to Nebraska from Texas-El Paso, where he had a 48-18 record with two postseason tournament appearances in two seasons. Nebraska has not reached the NCAA tournament since 1998, when it was coached by Danny Nee.
