As some have said, the hemorraging continues with Thursday’s news that I-Back Leon Jackson has left the Huskers.

While he is the 5th highly touted recruict from 2005′s class, the Husker’s do not seem to have lost much with Jackson who was rumored be hovering around the bottom of the depth chart (as was Beck, if message board speculation is to be believed).

As long as our recruiting strength hovers around the levels of the past couple of years, the loss of future ‘stars’ shouldn’t impact Nebraska negatively. One of the side-effects of recruiting top prospects is that some will eventually leave before they have a chance to show their skills – something the Huskers haven’t had to deal with on a regular basis in years past.
