Bill Callahan has had a bad losing streak in college football before. From 1988 to 1992, he endured five straight losing seasons as Offensive Line Coach at Northern Arizona, Southern Illinois (where he was Offensive Coordinator) and Wisconsin, respectively. This included the 1-10 season Wisconsin endured in 1990.
What’s my point? My point is he’s not going to be given that kind of leeway to lose in Lincoln.

Lately I’ve heard talk that Penn State had 3 or 4 bad years but look at what they are doing now. I say Whoa…Wait a Minute…Back Up and Regroup!!!! This guy is no Joe Pa, who in 38 years so far, has a record of 352-117-3 with 7 national championships and 31 bowl appearances. Oh and by the way was 5-5 his first year and 8-2 his second.

Agreed. Lack of talent isn’t the issue with the Huskers despite what some people would like the masses to believe. The problems with this team come down to coaching decisions.
I wasn’t a Solich fan, but the program was relatively stable. With Callahan, I think it has been proven that other than his play calling (which every D coordinator in the country has figured out), his actions are nearly impossible to predict.
