Callahan is a complete joke. He ran the program completely wrong and didn't do things the right way. He got good talent and he ruined the tradition of Nebraska football. Pelini is legit he's a great coach demands perfection out of his players and runs the program right. thank god he was hired and Osborne was hired as A.D. now were going in the right direction and Pelini already won 9 games his first season and has a good chance of going to the Big XII championship this year. Callahan is just horrible and I'm so glad he's not here anymore...what a joke, Pelini will have us back to National championship status soon because he runs things the right way and puts together a great defense, he also brings back the hard hitting nebraska tradition and thats what we need

At the very least our defense will be better. That is 50% of the battle right there. The other half is to tune the offense into a well oiled machine, but a little confidence will do wonders. I think this was a good move, the energy surrounding Husker football has returned. Bo wasn't here that long, but he is part of that team that we all miss, which makes him a welcome return.

A good motivater is all most of these guys needed last year to keep them going, there was too much giving up and shutting down. Where is that Husker team that won games in the 4th quarter, because the other team was too damn worn out?

Yes, you - and of course Ed - are the only ones not sold on Pellini.

Let's face it, anyone coaching football at this level has an infinite knowledge of X's and O's. I doubt Callahan knows more about football than Bo Pellini, or vice versa. So the difference has to be in the way that coach communicates his plan to his players, and how he motivates them to execute it. I think it's here that we will see what makes Pellini such a better coach than Callahan, and a better choice than about anyone else we could have hoped to get. As far as coaching the Championship game rtd hit it out of the park. What better exposure to recruits, and the nation, could a 5 and 12 team hope to get?

minus the one call to recruits Bo can do nothing else or be in violation of the NCAA rules on limited contacting of recruits due to dead period ending Jan 7. The next best thing is to promote and get Nebraskas name out and about as often as possible. What is a beter way then being on the sidelines for a national championship game with the announcers letting the nation know Bo=Nebraska. Everytime they mention Bo Pellini Coach of the huskers and his Defense it is a advertising free advertising, lot of recruits will watch this game sounds allright to me. Gabbert can go we've got spano coming in and Renfree visiting. Things will be very good very soon here in the heartland. Do not fear BO is here, and should be in his fifth season. That nervous feeling you have is the life returning to the backbone of husker tradition.

Am I the only one not real sold on the whole Bo Pelini hire? I want to like it but I just don't. I hope I am wrong and I hope I eat my words but this guy is not the answer. And how bout this Bo... Get your ass on the recruiting trail and forget about LSU and your defensive scheme plan to beat Ohio State. Ok Ok, it's neat that we don't care and want him to coach the national championship game and it's neat that LSU wants him there, or no wait a minute, how bout getting the QB from Missouri to re-commit, oh wait it is too late. Cmon man you are either with us or against us. Whose coach are you. This is going to be a disater and we are going to long for the Frank Solich, Beau Bridges (Bill Callahan) days. Don't get me wrong, I want Nocoachahan out as much as the rest of you did, but Pelini is another road block in the way of Nebraska fottball getting back to where it was. I HOPE I AM WRONG. I HOPE THIS MAKES ME LOOK STUPID...I just don't see it.

I listened to the press conference audio file and I thought Dr. Osborne was the epitomy of class and grace in how he handled it. It is easy to forget sometimes that not only was he a great coach, but he really is an example in so many ways of character and good values. He is such an inspiration (to me but I suspect to others). It is heartwarming to have him back in a visible way even if it is only temporarily. Man, every time I hear the man talk it makes me want to try harder to be a better person. He will get us back on track.

It has finally happened. Bill Callahan is NO MORE!!!!!!!! Thank you Tom for your commitment to the program, and for seeing that Bill has NOT lived up to the expectations that all Nebraska faithful have come to expect from our team. I am eager to see what the future will bring for the team as I beleive that a fresh start will be a welcome sight for all. GO BIG RED, Callahan is no more!!!!!
